Faith

Today is the kind of day where I 100% have to rely on my faith to get me through. I am grateful for that faith and for a loving Heavenly Father who's plan for us I know is perfect - even when the events of life make things hard and test our understanding.

My sister wrote a wonderful post on the events of that past couple days. You can read it here - Please pray for my cousin Parker and his wife Kelly (and their other five children) as they face the many difficult days ahead of them.

Mommy vs. Max - A Battle of Wills

In the Battle of Wills...
The score: Mommy 1,239,681 - Max: 3689
In today's Nap Time Battle: a tie was called
Max took his nap but he choose to do so on the floor and not in his bed. This only lasted about 45 minutes and then I had to sooth him back to sleep in his bed.

Boot Camp Graduation

The actual story begins back in June when Greg and I made the big decision to move forward with joining the Army Reserves. He had been preparing for months by getting in shape and losing some weight. On June 4th, he was official sworn in and signed his contract. And yes, for those wondering, we knew that baby #3 was on the way when the final decision was made.
Graduation was amazing. The photos do not do it justice, I wish I had a video camera to get the full effect. I know some are blurry but the soldiers were moving most of the time. Below is the soldiers marching onto stage and into their seats in the auditorium.
Above: all of the Drill Sargent's - they would later introduce themselves.
Below: 1st Platoon
Below: Greg's Platoon or the 2nd Platoon marching on to the stage.
Each solider stepped forward and introduced themselves - Rank, Name, and which state they were from...Greg of course was near the end because they do things in alphabetical order.
Sitting at attention...I think Greg is super cute is his dress uniform - but then I am completely bias on that one!
Below: 3rd Platoon
Above: 4th Platoon
Below: Marching from Graduation back to the barracks.
See...cute!

Back at the barracks.
Waiting for directions...we would get a day pass but it seemed to take forever to get it all organized. But then I had just walked over a mile is dress shoes and standing around was not high on my fun to do list.
Above: Greg and his Dad
Below: We were happy to see each other (or my Dad made us take this picture).
Yummy food was eaten here...and way too much of it! My sister in law, Sara was so right about needing these on the west coast. I may actually crave the burgers, fries, and shakes (or sundaes in my case) for the rest of my pregnancy.

We are pleased to announce...

In January this could become the new title of our family blog...
Yep, we are thrilled to announce that a healthy baby boy will soon join his brothers. When told, Wesley just looked at me with an "I told you so look" anytime he has been asked over the past couple months he would have told you it was a brother. I will post the new ultrasound pictures later...well maybe, we all know that I have not been consistent in posting to this blog lately. But I am hoping to catch up and do better!
